Meschell Nattin Brascia our beloved wife, mom, sister, and friend passed away suddenly on September 18, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, September 26 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton, LA. The service will be Tuesday, September 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church in Benton, LA. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Meschell was born on September 2, 1966, she was a Bossier High 1984 graduate and attended UNLV with a bachelor's degree in Dance Education. She was an Acro Dancer in the Follies Berger until an injury led her to teaching. She was an elementary school teacher until her dream vocation being a fulltime wife and mother. Her magnetic personality and infectious smile touched people from all ages.

She was an avid college football fan with emphasis on LSU and the SEC and had a particularly strong opinion on politics. Her favorite hobbies were shopping, traveling and anything with her family. A devoted mom and wife, her family was the most important thing to her. The holidays were her favorite time of year and a chance for family gatherings, which were so important to her.

Meschell is preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Brascia.

She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Pete Brascia and her children, Allie, Anna and Sam. She is also survived by mother, Nancy Doughty; sisters, Monique Rowell (Chris Rowell) and Melanie Horner (Scott Horner) Christina, Capri and Noah and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers are Mike Brascia, Art Brascia, Nick Brascia, Peter Brascia, Richie Griffin, Paul Rowell, Brett Keffer, Dave Anderson, Chris Rowell and Scott Horner. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Brascia and Jack Brascia.
