Patricia Ann Brown Key was born in Winnfield, Louisiana, on May 6, 1930, to Annie Lee Kelley Brown and Max McLean Brown. She passed away on October 8, 2018, at Christus Highland Hospital after a brief illness.

In 1951, Pat moved to Shreveport after earning her degree in Speech and Drama from Louisiana Tech University. That year she was crowned Miss Holiday in Dixie, Miss Louisiana Tech, Miss Shreveport, and 1st runner up to Miss Louisiana. Pat was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and remained an active alumnus her entire life.

A member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church since 1954, Pat taught Sunday School, served on the Flower Committee, was a member of the Bell Choir and enjoyed setting up Communion for years. She loved working with the women of the church and was President of the Presbyterian Women and awarded Honorary Life Member.

Pat was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and served on the Board of the Woman's Department Club. She was a longtime member of the Cotillion Club, an Ambassador and Jester's wife.

Pat led a full life of love and service to her family and many friends. She was a gracious hostess and loved celebrating life to its fullest. We all remember "coldbeerglassofwine?"

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Evander Brown; her first husband, Aylmer Mitchell Weldin, Jr.; her husband of 41 years, Robert (Bob) Merton Key, Sr.; and her cousins, June Haynie and Ann Brock.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lisa Weldin Hudson (Mark), Aylmer Mitchell Weldin, III (Sharon), and Kelley McLean Weldin, all of Shreveport, and Annette Key Mallard (Lee) of Fort Worth, Texas; and her step children, Robert M. Key, Jr. (Carol) of Montgomery, Texas, Karen Key Scott of Elgin, Texas, and Bryan Potter Key (Lisa) of Sugarland, Texas.

The family is grateful to Dr. Natravis Cox and the staff of the 3rd floor and CCU at Christus Highland.
