Shreveport - A Celebration of Life Service for Thomas D. McClellan, 82, will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018, at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church with Father Reverend Rothell Price officiating. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive guests for visitation on Thursday, October 11, 2018, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Centuries chapel.

Mr. McClellan was born September 28, 1936 in New Edinburg, AR to the late Johnny Duncan and Iva Mae Thompson McClellan. He joined the USAF and served our nation in the Vietnam War with the B52 combat crew and had over 2,000 hours flying time. After a back injury he was grounded and spent the next five years as a management analyst. He retired December 31, 1978 with 28 years of service. His hobby was coaching Little League baseball. He loved all sports. Mr. McClellan was a devout member of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. He was very active in the church for many years before he became ill.

Mr. McClellan was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Leonard McClellan; and his sisters, Sue McClellan and Ruth Weaver. Left to cherish his memory and tell his stories are his wife of 57 years, Helen McClellan; his two daughters, Cynthia Andrews of Shreveport and Nola Jayne McClellan of Bryant, AR; his two sons, Patrick McClellan and wife Vickie of Greenwood, LA and Thomas Michael McClellan of Shreveport; his ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Forrest Wright (now retired) and Dr. Fitzgerald. Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church.
