Wanda Shofner

Shreveport - Wanda Burk Shofner, 66, was born June 27, 1954 in Shreveport, LA; to C.T. and Maydene Burk and entered into rest on January 11, 2021 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Terry L. Shofner, father-in-law, Ceal Shofner, mother-in-law, Aline Shofner and both her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters Christy Crites and Stephanie Shofner; grandson, Christopher Crites; sister Judy Olszyk and husband George; brother, William Burk and wife Leny; aunt, Louise Tyler; Her fur baby, Max; longtime friend Mike Pool; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Wanda was a 1972 graduate of C.E. Byrd High School and was retired from Lucent Technologies. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Randy Bryn, Kristi Cory, PA, Dr. Ashok Kompelli, Summer Robin, NP, and Dr. Sai Konduru for their care and compassion over the years.

The family will hold a private memorial/celebration of life service Sunday January 17, 2021 at the American Legion on Cross Lake in the ballroom.
