Buford D. Rape Obituary
BOSSIER CITY, LA - Funeral services will be held in honor of Mr. Buford D. Rape on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Hill Crest Funeral Home from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
He served in U.S. Navy and was a member of El Karuba Shrine's. Buford loved to play pool and spend time bar-be-cuing for his family and friends. He had a passion for artistic metal work and owned his own ornamental iron welding business. Buford had a unique "saying" for every occasion. He loved his horse, Dan, his bird, Poncho and especially those special "boots".
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Maurice Rape and a special uncle, Grady Rape.
Buford is survived by his wife, Patricia Burk Rape; son, Thomas Dean Rape, daughters, Debbie Taft, Glinda Teakell and husband Ray Paul; sister, Diane Alley of Frisco, TX; brother, Leslie Rape and wife Juanice of Bossier City, LA; grandson, Thomas Paul Teakell; granddaughters, Sephanie Arant and husband Tim, Morgan Rae Teakell,and Lacy Taft; and great grandson, Jessie Delano Arant.
Pallbearers will be Ray Paul Teakell, Thomas Paul Teakell, Tim Arant, Gene Arant and Sam Barlow.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Ted Warren ,Hospice Staff, Nurse Robin Watkins and Debbie Purvis.
