SHREVEPORT, LA - A Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:00 noon Saturday, June 29, 2013 at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Francis Kamau, F.M.H. officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel from 5 to 7 pm.; vigil at 6 pm.

Born on May 21, 1935 to T.L. and Ruth Clarke, Chris passed on June 25, 2013. He was an active member of St. Mary of the Pines as an usher and the Men's Club. Chris retired from U.S. Marine Corp. after 22 yrs. of service. He enjoyed reading, fishing and volunteer work.

Preceding him in death are his parents, daughter Vicki Clarke Manning; and brothers, Tommy and Ronnie Clarke. He is survived by his wife of 48 yrs., Rose Marie Clarke; daughter Cindy Clarke Bromberg (Britt); son Andrew Chris Clarke (Shannon); grandchildren Breanne Pendergraft Jones (Eric), Aaron Chris Clarke, and Brayden Chris Clarke; step-grandchildren Brookelin and JaLee Urban; great-grandchild Olivia Lee Jones; siblings Wanda Rone (Larry), Mary Lewis (Mike), Larry Clarke (Toni), and Libby Strozier (Ted).

Pallbearers will be Larry Clarke, John Moskeland, Jim Lanaghan, Tom Wagner, Wil McGarry and Phillip Strozier.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to: Spiritual Dream Catchers, Inc., operators of White Wing Dove Renewal Center located in Keithville. Chris was serving on the Board of Directors. The address of the non-profit is P.O. Box 96, Keithville, LA 71047.
