Vietnam U.S. Air Force veteran; great-grandfather
Robert King Kemp, (a.k.a. Bobby), 71, of Staten Island, N. Y., sunrise March 12, 1949, sunset November 8, 2020, passed away at Richmond Center for Rehab & Nursing.
Bobby was born to the late William King Kemp and Julia Latina Kemp. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Johnson, and sister, Nancy.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was the 1969 Arizona Golden Gloves Lightweight Boxing Champion.
Bobby is survived by his five children, Ronnie Bell, Robert King Kee, Julian Kemp, Juliana Gravely, Donna Marie Kemp; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers; two sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In compliance with the NYS and CDC guidelines, a small, private service will be held at 12 noon on November 20, 2020, at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, N.Y. 11792.
