Rita Trimarchi

Rita Trimarchi Enjoyed spending time with family, especially her granddaughter Rita Trimarchi died peacefully on June 15, 2021 on her 88th birthday at Eger Health Care Center. She was born in New York City and moved to South Beach, Staten Island as a small child with her parents Ricciotti and Gemma Coli, her sister Gloria and brother Richard. She graduated from New Dorp High School and married her high school sweetheart Robert (Bob) Trimarchi. As a young woman she worked for IBM in New York City and left to raise her children, Robert and Lori. She returned to the work force many years later and worked at Modell's Sporting Goods in New Dorp as a department manager before retiring. Rita was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Bob, and her parents, Ricciotti and Gemma. She is survived by her son, Robert (Judy); her daughter, Lori; granddaughter, Stephanie and sister, Gloria Merrill. Rita enjoyed spending time with her family and her granddaughter, Stephanie who she called "her sunshine". She was close to her daughter-in-law, Judy. Rita was also an animal lover and loved her cat, Zoey. Visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home, 2819 Hylan Boulevard, SI, NY 10306 on Friday, June 18, 4:00-8:00 p.m. Christian Burial on Saturday, June 19 at St. Ann's Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Moravian Cemetery.
