I'm starting again... and want to convey my shock and deep sadness at the news of Jonathon's death. Just a few weeks before we laid plans to try some snowshoeng with Elizabeth on Blue Mountain. He was such a good hearted person to be with, a good listener, a thoughtful and warm responder, and a very willing aid with some of the mysteries of enhancing the profile of Canadian Voice of Women for Peace. He was a precious, helpful, welcoming, unpretentious person who made this world, and mine,a better place. Sympathy hugs to Elizabeth and all the family. Janis Alton, Port Credit

Very saddened to learn of the sudden passing of a good friend and "water warrior". Jon and Elizabeth were neighbours and friends of mine for several years at Wasaga Beach and both were so very involved in the Site 41 fight! No project was too great for Jonathon to tackle and he will always be highly regarded and respected. RIP Jon - you will be sadly missed. Sympathy and Condolences to Elizabeth and the family.

John and I are very saddened to hear about Jonathon's passing. He was one of the heroes in our effort to stop Site 41 and instrumental in starting AWARE Simcoe. He was a joy to work with, because of his kind and gentle manner, his respect towards those he worked with, his quickness, his skills and his frank and wise input.
And what touched me more than anything were Jonathon's quiet words of encouragement during those difficult and challenging days in our fight to stop Site 41. I will never forget how it picked up my spirits, boosted my confidence and restored my energy.
It was an honour to know and work with Jonathon.

For over 35 years Jonathon and I were very close friends. To me, he was the definition of what we all look for in a true friend. He was always supportive and encouraging. No matter how much time passed between our conversations, it always felt as though we had spoken yesterday. When we both went through tough times, we were always there helping each other out. We also shared innumerable good times which will always live on through the memories we created. As stated he was a gentle giant: kind, thoughtful, unselfish and giving. And yet he was strong both physically and in character, his work ethic was undeniable and his determination and perseverance unequalled.
I could go on because there are many more qualities that could be mentioned. Suffice to say I loved the man and will cherish his memory and our relationship till the end of my days. Rest in Peace J.
