Stuart William Lake

Died suddenly on Wednesday September 15, 2021 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 72. Stuart of Stayner, beloved husband of Gail for over 43 years. Predeceased by father Charles Lake of Buckinghamshire, England, mother Eleanor Smith of Yorkshire England and brother David. Loving father of Suzanne Lake (Ravinder Adiwal), Katherine Lake and Shane Lake. Cherished Grandpa of Damien, Isaiah, Serena, Tyrese, Katie Lynn, Kristian, Kalissa, Keshawn, Kayson and Zoe. Dear brother of the late David (Daphne), John (Anne) and Brenda (Fred Johnson). Stuart will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, Shane's German Shepherd Blue which brought him so much fun and enjoyment in the last year, his many friends and neighbours. Stuart had a long career in retail grocery. He was a kind and fun loving man with a great sense of humor. He adored his grandchildren, spending as much time as possible with them at the beach and taking them day tripping. A huge fan of sports, he excelled at darts and golf and was a diehard Montreal Canadiens fan. Loved the music of the 60's especially the Beatles and had every album. Stuart was a recognized breeder and trainer of German Shepherd dogs with many having time with police forces. One of his German Shepherds Lance made the Purina Hall of Fame in 1981.
