Karl Hene Obituary
Karl Erwin Hene, 87, of Sherman and formerly of Chicago, passed away on Wednesday October 5, 2016 at St. John's Hospice. He was born on June 10, 1929 in Haslach, Germany to Sigmund and Flora Jaburg Hene. Karl is survived by his loving wife Grace Bashaw; his sons Scott and Fred Hene , his daughters Lisa Lairmore and Patti (Brian) Bauer; his grandchildren Casey Lairmore, Andrew and David Bauer, Michelle and Danielle Rice; and his great-grandchildren Kameron and Baylee Lairmore; his sister Vera (Paul) Heuberger and his brother Harry (Marianne) Hene. He was also preceded in death by his two sisters Wiltrude Lavelle and Sonya Hene.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Monday October 10, 2016 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road, with Rabbi Barry Marks officiating. The family will meet friends immediately following the service approx 4:30pm until 6:30pm Monday at Bisch West. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday October 11 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum or to the Alzheimer's Association and please visit the online "Life Remembered Story" at www.bischfuneralhomewest.com."

This was my 1st Manager in 1986 at Cicero &Lake currency exchange. I recently drove by there and said let me google Karl name and this came up! This man taught me everything I know about money and how to save. I was able to retire from my job at 49 years old because of what I learned from him as a kid. Rest in piece Karl, and my condolences to His family

To Grace and family. Our hearts are heavy with the news of Karl's passing. Please accept our condolences. We have fond memories of visiting with Karl. I particularly enjoyed his currency exchange stories including how he grew the business over the years. My parents , Jim and Val Coleman , loved the times that you and Karl came to Villa Grove.
