11/16/18 Thinking about my old deer hunting buddy today as I prepare to walk into the woods for the 2018 firearm season. Neither of us missed a single season together for over 30 years. While the days of the Ponderosa, Plymouth, Warsaw and all the great times are all long gone, the memories still linger today. Miss you Andy.

Picture taken 1995 @ the Ponderosa near Plymouth. A man who couldnt be happier.
Andy's Grandma Vera lived next door to me when I was a kid. Much like my own Grandmother. Our families vacationed every Easter in Kentucky for 2 weeks. We were friends throughout childhood with our parents doing the same. Andy and I lived in Quincy together in 80/81 to attend technical school. Great times there spending almost every day together for a year. Thats about the same time Jerry acquired the Hancock county farms. Andy and I never missed a single deer season in Warsaw and at the Ponderosa. While others came and went we could always count on each other to be ready to go. Wow, what memories there. You never knew who Andy might have tag along - Uncle John, Shafer, Bretzy, Fisher, cousin Mike once, Baker..... So many stories and memories to go with each one of those. So much more that I wouldn't dare put into writing ;) . Andy was a life long friend who I will miss and remember forever. I know he is finally at peace. Farewell my friend, till we meet again.

To my oldest sister Franny, brother-in law Jerry, and niece Sherry: Even though the miles have separated us for many years, my heart and thoughts have always stayed connected to you all. Franny, I know as my big sister you helped raise me as a baby, and since there was not much difference in age gap between me and little Jerry, Andy and Sherry, we practically grew up together going to Lake Springfield, trips to St Louis Zoo, and the State fair every year together. All of us kids were more like siblings than Aunt and nephews and nieces. Some of my best memories were spent at 44 Melody Lane. I will miss Andy and he will forever be in my heart. I know that he is now in the arms of his big brother and all of the rest of the family who were waiting for him. It is a comfort to me to know that he is waiting to greet us when we pass. He was a wonderful person with a huge heart, and I loved him deeply. You can finally rest in peace Andy. Bless you.
