Donald Barry Obituary
Oconee, IL—Donald T. Barry, 89, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Oconee, IL, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017.
Don owned the Barry Nursing Homes, later known as the Country Care Centers, located in several central Illinois communities.
Per Don's wishes, private family services were held Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, IL.
Burial was in St. Martin Cemetery, Farmersville.
Donald is survived by his wife, Trudy Blackwell of Sarasota, FL, son, Gregory T. Barry of Springfield, IL, daughter, Jamie Barry (David) Fullington of Carlinville, IL, step-daughter, Tamera (David) Rosenbaum of Colorado Springs, CO., 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and brother, Roger Barry of Sarasota, FL.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Foundation or Tidewell Hospice in Sarasota, FL.
Please visit www.davisandersonfuneralhome.com to leave condolences or light a candle in his memory.
Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville was in charge of arrangements.

Don was a true visionary when it came to his management of the nursing homes he loved. Way ahead of his time with many innovations to increase productivity and make staff more content. He was an extraordinary man who challenged ordinary people to be their very best. So sorry for your loss.
