John was a hard working, fun loving, sweetheart of a guy and we will greatly miss his smiling face. We knew John from horse racing and had so many great times with him--especially in Kentucky at Keenland and here in Springfield. I'm sure he and his buddy Dave are smiling down on us from that big racetrack in the sky....

John was a friend of our family since we were all in grade school. We were in 4-H together and we had many fun times--usually with him teasing me. He was the best friend of my brother, Ron Dickey. What great memories you left us! You're home now John...rest in peace.

John and I were best friends throughout our school years in Pawnee. We lost contact in recent years but he was and is like a brother to me. I will miss him terribly but will hold onto all of the wonderful times we spent together.
