Wyman Deck Obituary
Girard, IL—Wyman P. "Bill" Deck, 91 of Girard, IL passed away Monday morning, December 3, 2018, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
He was co-owner of Deck's Drug Store in Girard where he was a Pharmacy Technician and former Librarian at the Auburn Public Schools.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, IL.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. December 7, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Girard Cemetery, Girard.
Wyman is survived by numerous friends.
Memorials may be made to Girard Community Center.

I remember as a small child back in the late 1950's going to Decks Drug Store for a soda at the fountain. That was a big treat back then. As an adult I enjoyed talking to Bill at lunch time. The world has lost a vast treasure of knowledge and memories. RIP BILL

Stopped in the drug store for lunch not long ago and had a pleasant conversation with Mr. Deck about Route 66 - and his life. What a great ambassador for Route 66 travelers. His hospitality and gentle tone will be missed by many.
