Ken Mason, of Marysville, peacefully passed away on March 10, 2014 at the age of 84.
Ken was born on Oct. 26, 1929 in Gentry, Arkansas and was a builder by trade.
"Kenny" served in the U.S. Navy and was a Korean War Veteran. He had a great sense of humor and will be remembered for that and his gardening abilities (which all got to enjoy!).
Ken is survived by his two loving daughters, Lori (Dr. Greg) Adams and Julie (Bill) Shore. He also leaves his five adored grandchildren (Tony Adams, Jessica Brandt (Richard), Carly Adams, Amanda Shore, and Alex Shore and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Brandt. Ken also leaves his cherished companion, Evie Mount, his sister, Ruth Talley, and many nieces and nephews all of whom he loved. Ken enjoyed all the years of fun and laughter with special friends, Morgan and Sharon Bartlett of Stanwood and their families.
Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Charlene Mason, and his sister, Pauline Carner.
A Celebration Of Life will be held in Ken's honor at his favorite beach on Camano Island in July with crab and beer for all!
Memorials can be made to Providence Hospice in Ken Mason's name: 2731 Wetmore Avenue, Suite 500, Everett, WA 98201.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Jimmy, Chrissy, Januari, Jamey, and Jack for your love and support in caring for our Dad and Grandpa Kenny. You are the best! FISH ON, CRAB MAN! Until we meet again!
