I was blessed to have known Mr. Whitson for 52 years. He was always a kind man and made me feel as though I was a member of his family. He had great compassion and heart as well as a great sense of humor. He loved his family greatly. I will always remember him for his distinct voice and kind smile. Thank you for gracing my life Mr. Whitson as another one of my dads! R.I.P. Mr. Whitson.

shortly after arriving in La Conner 20 years ago, I started attending the La Conner UMC and Dale was one of the first people I met at church. His warm personal welcome and wise, happy smile became my image of the church. When I would see that smile I knew I was in the right place. I'll still be there in the right place and will "see" that smile each Sunday. Thanks to Dale and Jan for making our church home a friendly and holy place.

Sorry to read about the passing of Dale. I worked with Dale as a contract eng at Texaco until his retirement. I was truly amazed at how knowledgeable he was of everything in his area. He knew what was in each line and had a story about each one. I only knew him in the business setting but I'm sure he had the same compassion and commitment in his personal life.
RIP Dale
