Together they made their home and raised their family in Southern California and Mynard owned a lath & plaster construction company for several years. He later received his real estate license and worked as a real estate broker. In 1980 he and Lorraine moved to Washington, living in King County until settling in Sedro-Woolley in 1988 and Mynard operated his own brokerage firm, Certified Properties until his retirement.
