Linda Katherine (Kackman) Hartley, 70, passed away peacefully in her home care at April House in Marysville, Washington on Monday February 7, 2011 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Linda was born in Arlington, Washington on December 25, Christmas Day, 1940 to Loyd and Clara Kackman.

Linda loved the outdoors, nature and flowers. She could often be found working in her garden where she proudly displayed her flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees.

She was a beloved member of the Marysville community and served her community as the owner of Marysville Floral for 27 years. She served as an officer of the Marysville Moose Club for many years as well as a leading member of the Soroptimist club.

Linda was a special person who reached out to others. She loved children and was involved in mentoring special needs children from Marysville High School to be active community members and citizens.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Rickard Hartley, who cared for her the last seven years of her life. She leaves 3 sons: Scott Hartley, Jay Hartley (Donalyn Hartley) and Tracy Hartley (Jana Hartley); 4 grandchildren: Autumn Hartley, Cortney Hartley, Holly Hartley and Grant Hartley. Linda is also survived by her sister Elsie Pryor (Jack Pryor) and brother Lloyd Kackman (Margie Kackman, deceased). Linda leaves 3 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Special thanks go to Virginia Cook for her loving care and friendship. Virginia holds a special place in Rick and Linda's heart. Thank you also to Robin and Greg Erke of April House for their outstanding care and love for Linda in the last days of her life.

Funeral services scheduled as follows:
Viewing only: Saturday, February 12 from 12:00 to 3:00pm Weller Funeral Home 327 N. MacLeod Ave., Arlington.
Services: Tuesday, February 15 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1717 Larson Rd., Silvana WA with a viewing at 11:00 am, Memorial service at 12:00pm, Reception 1-2:30pm. Private graveside services will be held at 3:00pm at Loyal Heights Cemetery for close family members.
