CLIFFORD "RAY" LUND Obituary
Clifford "Ray" Lund, 86, peacefully passed away on May 17, 2011 in Everett, WA. Born to Pearl and Melvin Lund on Jan 2, 1925, in Los Angeles, CA, Ray was the youngest of eight children: four boys and three girls.

Before he turned two, he moved to Minnesota with his adopted mother, Annie Ferrell, and his closest brother, George. At fourteen, he left home and moved back to California.

Just two years later, at sixteen, he joined the US Navy and served in WWII. When the war ended, he started his family and moved to Lewiston, Idaho. Settled finally in Everett in 1955, he opened Lund's Cabinets. After decades of running the shop, he retired in 1980, and transferred ownership of the growing business to his eldest son, Robin, who recently passed it down to his own son, Robert.

Ray was not only an exceptionally skilled and talented cabinet builder and businessman, he was also an avid hunter and thoroughly enjoyed training his beloved bird dogs. Most of all, though, he was known for his warmth and compassion. He always had a joke or story to share, and his charisma and inclusiveness could make anyone feel like they were his best friend. He was the life of every party, warming the room with his personality and smile.

He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene; his brother, George Lund (Almira); and his 4 children, Robin Lund (Margaret), Rennai Sherman (Clint), Darli Lund-Parks (Randy), and Darin Lund. He leaves 7 grandchildren, Jason Sherman (Trish), Robert Lund (Sara Sullivan), Dan Lund, Jenica Sherman, Chad Annema (Dawn), Mitchel Annema & Tom Lund; as well as 3 great-grandchildren, Kyle Sherman, and Cayden & Micah Annema; and 2 step-grandchildren, Alexis VanWyck & Trey Olson; and 3 stepchildren, Jan Moen (Rod), and Bryan & Brett Seavy; 5 step-grandchildren, Byron & Jessie Kindle, Nicole Moen and Shelby & Paul Bischoff; and 8 step-great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Buddy.

A Celebration of his life will be held at his graveside in Evergreen Cemetery, 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA, at 3:00pm on May 25, 2011. A reception will follow at the Everett Elks Lodge at 2802 Hoyt.

We love you Daddy. Your love and laughter will be in our hearts forever.
