Janice Elizabeth Peterson went home to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on July 6, 2018.

She was born in Tacoma, WA on June 12, 1942 to Gladys and Elmer Peterson and grew up in Milton, WA. Janice graduated from Fife High School and attended WSU where she met her husband, Paul F. Peterson.

She and her husband and their two children moved to Republic, WA in 1974 where they were store owners and enjoyed living, fishing and playing on Curlew Lake for 20+ years. Finding their love of sailing, they retired to Anacortes, WA in 1999 where she was a beloved member of her church and community.

She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul; Daughters: Elizabeth (Andrew Law) and Pamela (Danny Scott); brothers: Robert and Dennis; grandchildren: Juliet, Hannah, Aaron, & Jack, and great-grandchildren: Aveline and Sylvia.

A Memorial Service in her honor will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1300 9th Street, Anacortes. A Reception to follow. All are welcome.

Memoriams in Janice's name may be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Anacortes.
