Obituary Condolences

Richard L. Stevenson (Rich-Steve), 88, of Mount Vernon, WA passed away peacefully on August 7, 2018.

Rich was born in Anacortes, WA on December 22, 1929. Rich married the love of his life, Bonny Owens on June 18, 1950 in Anacortes and they spent 68 wonderful and happy years together. Richard worked for Concrete Nor'West for 42 years. He worked on Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, The Baker Dam, and all the local refineries. After he retired Rich and Bonny traveled in their motorhome for 3 years and then wintered in Mesa, AZ for 25 years at Greenfield Village RV Park.

Rich loved to fish at Baker Lake, hunt and camp with his family. He and Bonny traveled to many foreign countries and loved taking cruises. They visited all 50 states during their travels. Rich also loved bowling and was a longtime member of the Elks.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents Faye Stevenson Hodgins and George Hodgins; in-laws Leona Hendrickson and Burnie Owens. Rich is survived by his wife Bonny Stevenson; sons, Gordon (Ginny) Stevenson, Dale (Christy) Stevenson; daughter Judy (Tom) Stevenson Carlson; grandchildren, Stephanie Stevenson, Kindra Stevenson, Elise Krawczy, Nicole Coleman, Gordon Stevenson and Gregory Stevenson. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held at the family home 2410 Allison Ave, Mount Vernon, WA 98273 on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1:00pm for family and friends.
