THOMAS LIND Obituary

Tom Lind was born in Great Falls, Montana to Luella "Peggy" Lee and James D. Lind. He grew up in Long Beach, California and graduated from Millikan High School in 1966.
After getting married and having a son, Tom worked for 10 years as a machinist at Texaco oil refinery in Wilmington, CA. Being active with O.C.A.W union, he was hired as an international representative in 1979 and was transferred to the Puget Sound region in 1986. He retired in 2010 after 30 years with OCAW/PACE/USW.
Tom was pivotal in the establishment of USW Local 12-591 Fallen Workers Memorial Scholarship.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen, his son, Scott and daughter-in-law, Liz.
