VERNON BROWN Obituary

Vernon Leroy Brown, III (Skip), born December 18, 1945, left us on February 4th, 2013 after living a full and exciting life.

He was an avid member of the musical groups The Anachords, Skagit Valley Chorale, and the Skagit Valley Opera Company. He performed in the musicals Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fiddler on the Roof, Pirates of Penzance and the Barber of Seville. He also supported the Little Theatre, video library and childrens groups during a short retirement in Lake Chapala, Mexico.

Skip and his wife Janet had recently moved to Summerville, SC for the opportunity to audition for another role in their lives.

He was also a proud Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

Skip is survived by his wife of thirty years, Janet Brown, and children, Genell, David, Brian and Cheryl as well as five grandchildren and their first great-grandchild on the way. Skip is also survived by a sister, Sandie Brown.

When the term "Good Man" is spoken it is used to describe someone of his caliber.

My life was forever changed by this wonderful man. I could always count on a huge smile and a hardy chuckle with my Dad around. His smile will forever stay in my heart and his laugh will echo in my soul till we can sing together again. I love you Dad!

I met Vern through the theater, while putting on his makeup for one of his roles. What a sweet loving man he was. Always a smile on his face to share. Loved his laugh. My heart goes out to you, Janet.
