Kathleen Grace Trulson went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. She passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side.

Kathleen was born to Keith and Mabel Kratz, joining her big brother, Ray, on September 4, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan.

She graduated from Davison (MI) High School where she was captain of the girl's basketball team and a drummer in the marching band, among many other school activities.

While Kathy was working in the office of General Motors Company in Flint, MI, she met and fell in love with Larry Trulson, who was an engineering student at General Motors Institute. They were married in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 10, 1945, where Larry was stationed with the U. S. Navy. After World War II ended, they came home to Anacortes where Larry and his brother, Harold owned and operated Trulson Motor Company, a Chevy/Buick auto dealership. Kathy loved helping out at the dealership with Larry and Harold and the rest of the wonderful folks who worked there.

Kathy lived the rest of her life in Anacortes, raising a family of three children and involving herself in many various activities. She was an active member of the Anacortes Lutheran Church, participating in Bible studies and teaching Sunday school, a member of a women's organization, Chapter W, P. E. O., an Island Hospital volunteer, and also belonged to the Skagit Tulip Trekkers Volkswalk Club.

Kathy loved cooking, gardening, traveling, visiting with friends, spending time with her children and grandchildren, music and dancing, and always a good laugh. "We love her dearly because she first loved us".

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ray.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Trulson; sons and daughter-in-law, Neal Trulson of Anacortes, David and Carla Trulson of Issaquah; daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Ken Crews of Anacortes; grandchildren and spouses, Kirsten and Jarel Bakke of Silverdale, WA, Kyle and Bethany Crews of Anacortes, Eric Trulson of Issaquah, Julie Crews of Seattle; great-grandchildren, Bella and Kannin; and nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held at Grand View Cemetery.
