Elliott passed away April 16, 2010 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was 61 years young and spent those years living life to the fullest. Always surrounded by family and friends Elliott never met a stranger he couldn't quickly turn into a life-long friend.

Born and raised in Mount Vernon to A. Elliott and Eileen Johnson, he was a fourth generation Skagitonian. After graduating from Mount Vernon High School in 1967, Elliott attended Skagit Valley College where he served as ASB President, University of Washington and Willamette School of Law. Upon completion of law school Elliott returned to Mount Vernon where he practiced law from 1974 until his illness caused him to retire shortly before his passing. He loved his work and the community he served, as evident from the organizations he belonged to. Some of which include the Kiwanis Club of Mount Vernon, the Skagit Community Foundation, Museum of Northwest Art, Cascade Coach Club, Skagit Valley YMCA, Downtown Mount Vernon Merchants Association, Skagit County and Washington State Bar Association and the Lawyers Assistance Program.

In his early years, Elliott enjoyed hunting, running and cycling later turning to bridge, tending to his farm, playing with his daughters and sons-in-law as well as traveling in his motor home with his wife Vicki and dog Dannyboy.

Elliott is survived by his wife Vicki of nearly 40 years, his daughters Anna Youngberg and husband Marc, Meredith Westman and husband Shane. His father A. Elliott Johnson and wife Marybelle, sisters Nancy Sayer and husband Roger, Mary Carlson and husband Brad, Rose Simonseth and husband Tom, Margaret Neudorfer and husband Bill, Janet Lund and husband Jeff as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother Eileen Willard Johnson and mother and father in law Kay and Edith Goodman.

A Celebration of Elliott's life will be held Saturday, April 24th at the Salem Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon Washington at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow.

Memorials may be made to the Chris Elliott Fund for Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Research, 704 228th Ave NE #254, Sammamish, WA 98074.
