Rachael, if you ever see this, I have a draft of one of Hugh´s stories - The Jumping Jeweller of Lavendar Bay. I just don´t like to throw it out! If you´d like me to mail it to you, email me - [email protected]. I think you can guess how I came by it - check email.

Michael and I send our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to Jake and Rachel and Phoebe`s immediate family. Phoebe and I lived across the road from each other in Neutral Bay in the late fifties, early sixties when Jason was newly born. I had cast her in a commercial when I was working for George Patterson`s Advertising agency in Sydney but I can`t remember the product, a soap or perfume. We lost touch when I moved and caught up coincidentally of all places in Malta many years later when I spotted Hugh at a restaurant who told me Phoebe was due to arrive within the month. We sang together in the Malta Choral Society standing side by side. It was fun and a huge laugh. Phoebe had a great sense of humour and life just took over as is want in the Mediterranean. I certainly remember their parrot for sure who ran riot in the house. Sorry we lost touch again after her return to Australia and devastated at the sad news of her passing.

So sorry to hear of Phoebe's passing. I always loved when she came to Macarthur singers. Phoebe was a bright light and had a wonderful personality. Rest in peace Phoebe save a place for us, in the heavenly choir.
