Morton Cook Obituary

Morton J. Cook
Longtime resident Morton J. Cook 86 passed away on March 28th, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on July 17th, 1934 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to Alfred M. and Clara D. Cook (both deceased).

He transferred to Houghton, Michigan and finished his education at Michigan Tech University.
Mort then took his Engineering Degree and accepted Employment with the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. He retired from the state of Alaska in 1985.
He is survived by Lois, his wife of 67 years, and his daughter Jeanette (Fishel) Slaughenhaupt and her husband Alan of Buhl, Idaho, his son Alfred M Cook of Juneau Ak., and his daughter Kathy Jo Purpura and her husband George of Mesa, Arizona. Several grand and great grandchildren survive him.
