Scott Brovold Obituary
KOONTZ LAKE - Scott Allen Brovold, 54, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at his home. Scott was born August 4, 1959 in South Bend, IN to Ernest and Delores (Wellander) Brovold and lived in the area all of his life. He was an employee of Swan Lake Golf Course, Plymouth, a member of the VFW Men's Auxiliary Post #1954 of North Liberty, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #741 of Plymouth and Sheet Metal Worker's Local #20 of South Bend. He was life-member of the North American Hunting Club and a former member of ABATE motorcycle club. Survivors include his mother, Delores V. Brovold of Koontz Lake; one sister, Deborah (Jim) Hostetler of Walkerton; and two brothers, Doug (Laura) Brovold and Greg (Misty) Brovold, all of Walkerton. He was preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) in Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Cremation will take place. Friends may visit with the family on Friday at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to MDA. Scotty and I were Kindergarten buddies. I can remember his mother and my mom taking turns taking and picking us up from Mrs Gardners kindergarten class. I spent some time at his home during those days and we were friends. Way to early to lose you Scot, RIP.
