Richard Mrozinski

March 22, 1928 - Sept. 12, 2018

MISHAWAKA, IN - Richard Mrozinski, residing in Mishawaka passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side. He was born March 22, 1928 in South Bend to the late Leo Mrozinski and Anastasia (Malkoski) Mrozinski. On April 14, 1951, he married Margaret L. DeRoo at St. Bavos Church in Mishawaka. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Rozewicz, Evelyn Borowski, and Gertrude Wolkiewicz. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Shirley A. Speelman.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Mrozinski; and his three children, Deborah McKenna of Lakeland, FL, Michael Mrozinski of Gilbert, AZ, and Donald Mrozinski of Mishawaka. He has 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was employed at Singers, South Bend Toy, Studebakers, and retired from Wheelbrator after 30 years of service. Corporal Mrozinski was proud to serve his country with the Army in the 24th Taroleaf Division, 19th regiment R.C.T. Combat team during the Korean War from 1950-1952. Richard enjoyed dancing with his wife and friends. He loved playing cards and going on bus trips to the casino. He loved to cook and made his own Polish sausage and Pierogis. He was a fantastic handyman and could fix or build just about anything.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, September 21 from 2 until 4:00PM in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St. A Rosary and Service will begin at 4:00PM with Father Christopher Lapp officiating. He will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery following the service.

Family and friends are invited to a Polish Dinner afterwards at the BK Club in Mishawaka. Richard Mrozinski will be missed but not forgotten.

So when tomorrow starts without me don't think we're far apart
