Ron Bovo Obituary
Ron Bovo

Feb. 9, 1941 - May 16, 2018

GRANGER - Ron Bovo, 77, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Ron was born on February 9, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Anne (Mustari) Bovo Sr. and was raised in Benton Harbor, MI.

Ron graduated from St. John's Catholic High School in Benton Harbor, MI in 1959 and went into the National Guard in the tanker division (quite funny since he did not like noise!). He moved to South Bend in 1968 and worked at St. John's Business Machines until he purchased Elkhart Office Machines, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 2015.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank; mother, Anne; brother, Frank; and brother-in-law, Barry Dunfee.

Ron is survived by his wife, Christine; sons, Ed (Laura) Bovo and Greg Bovo; stepson, Paul (Sheena) Basker; sister, Diane Dunfee; and grandchildren, Evan and Larisa.

His passions were the Detroit Lions, (his great sense of humor served him well there), working in the yard, old westerns, watching birds, and his new puppy, LUIGI. Ron was also a member of DiAmici's Club in Mishawaka.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. with Funeral Services at 7 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph County Humane Society, 2506 Grape Rd., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
