SOUTH BEND - South Bend - Bernice R Krusinski, 84, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 in the Hospice House of St. Joseph County.

Bernice was born February 3, 1933 in Niles to the late Frank and Mary (Wroblewski) Krusinski. Bernice was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Sylvester, Leonard, and Casimir, Virginia Krusinski, and Barbara Plamowski.

Survivors of Bernice include a brother, Chester Krusinski; nephews & nieces, Richard, Michael (Arvena), Daniel (Tara) Plamowski, Cathleen Plamowski, Christine (James) Coburn, Janet (Don) Miller and Leonard Krusinski; great-nephews & nieces, Branden, Matthew, Sean and Ryan Plamowski, Tia (Jesse) Underwood, Bridget Anderson, Jennifer and Ashley Plamowski; and a great-great-nephews, Braylin Plamowski and James Coburn, Jr.

Bernice was a custodian with the University of Notre Dame retiring in 1998. In 1955 she was a member of the Key Club Players of LaPorte and Michigan City, a group of polka dancers organized to perform Polish Forklore stage productions that appeared on the Frank Yankovic show on WGN TV. Bernice was also a member of the St. Stanislaus Choir in Michigan City when Polka King Lil Wally made 2 record recordings with them; this was a highlight in her life. Bernice very much loved traveling with her family and friends, especially to Las Vegas. She always had fun going to casinos and bus trips with her twin sister Barbara, and brother Chester. Bernice also enjoyed going to football games and tailgating at Notre Dame. Most of all she loved animals especially her cat, Bambi.

Visitation for Bernice will take place 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Latin Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, August 17, 2017 in St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr, 415 N. Brookfield St; South Bend. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made towards Masses at St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr, 920 Wilber St., South Bend, Indiana 46628.
