Florida Longo Obituary
Florida, a lifelong resident of West Warwick, was the beloved mother of Biagio L. Longo, Esq. and his wife, Darleen Carley-Longo of East Greenwich, RI and Michael E. Longo, (retired Superintendent New Bedford School System) and his wife, Mary F. Longo of New Bedford. Florida is also survived by her seven cherished grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Joseph Riel and Helen Parent.
Her Funeral will be Friday at 9 am from the R. A. IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte. 117), Coventry, RI, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 60 Pleasant St., West Warwick, RI. Burial in the RI Veterans Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday (TODAY) 4-7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the RI Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907 will be appreciated.

I had the pleasure to meet Florida while a maintenance technician at Plaza Esperanza. Wonderful stories of her home, her husband, and the absolute pride of her life, her children. I am very sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with The Longo Family. Florida will be greatly missed.

Biagio and Darleen, I am sad to think I won't be seeing Florida anymore . She was truly a lady. She was so proud of her boys and their accomplishments.
