Therese Babineau-Tilton Obituary
She was born in Acushnet and lived most of her life in New Bedford. She was a member of the Moose and the Dirty Dozen.
Survivors include her son, Richard A. Babineau, Jr. of Whitman; her daughter, Sr. Marie Loreta Pia (Angela Babineau) of Italy; a grandson, Brady Babineau; three sisters, Lorraine Durling of ME, Catherine Sjostedt of Duxbury and Jacqueline McCale of Missouri; three brothers, Michael and Patrick Gauvin, both of Missouri and Albert Landry of Plymouth; her companion, Raymond L. Giasson of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Veronica Gauvin and Dawn Babineau; and sister of the late Donald Gauvin.
In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated. Her Funeral Mass with cremains present will be at St. Mary Church on Thursday at 9 AM followed by burial of cremains at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
