So many wonderful comments here and on the funeral home site. I met Morgan as 19 yr. olds at BC. We were roommates for the next 2 years and after he returned from Marine Corp. service. I was best man, and honored to be, at Morgan and Marilyn's wedding. I was so saddened and jolted to just learn of his passing due to the huge Covid disruptions. What a champion of decency, with great charm and a total delight to know and interact with. He was the quintessential proud son of Irish Heritage. He played the Clancy Brothers endlessly on his little grammar school recorder. We had so many laughs and good times. His spirit was super charged in all he did and said and always with great sincerity. A more charitable and kind person could not be found. I know what a great teacher, leader, and encourager of students he was. It was not a job but an avocation. Few people in life could even approach the high character and positive qualities Morgan displayed to all he knew and encountered each day. He was a great gift to Marilyn, Tim and his entire family and circles of friends. I am so sorry for their loss and ours. Till we meet again Morgan.

I am very saddened by the news of Morgan’s passing. I knew him as both my teacher and my colleague. MHS Class of ‘70 Economics Classs persuaded Morgan to take us to NYC to go to Wall Street. He was clear there would be “no free time”! Of course many of us found a bar and had to be rounded up by Morgan. He never said a word about it to any one at MHS. Years later I returned to the High School as a teacher where I got to know Morgan better. He was just the greatest guy! My wife, Mary Jo, also taught with Morgan, and has her own personal memories of him. How fortunate we were to have known one of the special ones. Our
condolences to his family and friends.

Peg and I were saddened to hear about Morgan's passing. A true gentleman and the "most solid guy" with whom I worked. My fondest memory was every spring Morgan, Smig and I would predict a Red Sox pennant and write inside a cabinet door how many games each pitcher would win. Too bad we had to retire before the Sox finally were champs!

I am saddened to hear of Morgan's death. He was our very own cheerleader, font of knowledge, and teacher par excellence. He often shared with me his views of the state of education, the future of B.C football, and the ups and downs of the real estate market. Morgan was a veritable gentleman and proud educator with whom I worked for over 30 years..
I wish to offer my deep condolences to his family

To say Morgan Costello was a wonderful man is an enormous understatement. He was that and so much more. He set the standard for a generation of teachers. I have received numerous emails and calls from his former students saddened by his passing but ardently praising his personality and teaching. Several such examples: A person I could not have admired more. What a tremendously successful life. Richard W. Rogers MHS Class of 1986. I can still picture him at the front of the class teaching with great enthusiasm. Mark Sullivan MHS Class of 1982. There is no question he brought enthusiasm and passion to the classroom every single day of his 35-year career.
Morgan, as the Department Head of the Business Department at Milton High School, was unsurpassed as an administrator. He always provided a positive attitude and empowered his staff to work to their potential. Teachers would often joke that Morgan never had a down day or lacked a pleasant smile and greeting. You could always turn to Morgan for meaningful guidance. He was an unmatched friend and mentor.
Morgan was an incredible family man. His devotion to his wife Marilyn and son was amazing. He was especially proud of his son Tim's academic and athletic achievements. I can remember how excited he was on the days he would watch Tim play as the starting goalie for the Brockton High School varsity soccer team.
Husband, father, teacher, coach, administrator, and Marine Viet Nam veteran Morgan accomplished a great deal in his too short life. It is a sad time with his passing but the world and the Town of Milton is a better place for the time we were fortunate to have known him.

We have lost a ray of sunshine who brought smiles to the faces of students and teachers alike. Morgans ever -present optimism and vivacious conversations added zest and enthusiasm to our day at Milton High. As a colleague of his, I feel fortunate to have taught with him for many years.
