Armand and Jack Garrity created a terrific football program at Archbishop Williams High School in the 1950's and 60's. His influence on team members and students he taught in the classroom was a life-long one.
May he enjoy forever the blessed reward of the good and faithful servant that he was to those with whom he interacted.

The Brockton Public Schools' family is deeply saddened by the loss of Armond Colombo. The school system has truly lost a champion. Many of us knew Armond as friend and colleague. We knew him to be selfless, dedicated and he always put students first. His contributions to the generations of Brockton High School students as a teacher and coach will live forever. Brockton is known as the City of Champions and Coach Colombo played a major role in bringing Brockton its well-deserved moniker.

So very sorry to hear about your loss. My utmost sympathy and deepest condolences to the entire family. Armond was without a doubt a 'legend' in the history-books of MA high school football etching his name and legacy throughout his illustrious coaching career. It's a tough loss, not just for the city of Brockton but also for the high school football programs here in MA to hear about his passing :( . Armond made a huge impact on the community with his no-nonsense approach to the sport, the school. I've heard some many good things about him from many people around Brockton and my townie friends from EB, its hard to keep up with all the stories and historic memories. Thinking of u all in this time of loss...
