J. Lucille Rogers

J. Lucille Rogers, a longtime resident of Easton, passed away Dec. 2, 2013, at the age of 73. Mrs. Rogers was the loving wife of Paul Rogers Sr. of Easton. She was the beloved mother of Paul Rogers Jr. and his wife Julie of Bellingham, Karen Griffith and her husband John of Newton and Beth Rogers-Ho and her husband Van of Stratford, Conn. Lucille was the proud grandmother of 6 beautiful grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear sister Ruth Keitz of Brownsville, Texas. Mrs. Rogers was born Oct. 28, 1940, in Sewickley, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Edward and Julia (Malloy) Keitz. She moved to Massachusetts and called Easton her home since 1972. Lucille enjoyed gardening and reading and was a fantastic cook, especially of comfort food. She was proud of her work at the Massachusetts Beverage Business in Boston. Lucille had a true zest for life and persevered no matter the trials she faced. She managed to take care of everyone else during her busy life and was a giving and warm person. She will be loved, missed, and respected by all who knew her. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Copeland-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 38 Center St., Easton. A funeral service will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at the Easton Baptist Church, 197 Bay Rd., Easton. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
