Linda (Wood) Walsh, age 73, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Middleboro passed March 25, 2021 in Tucson after a lengthy illness. Linda was the loving wife of Peter Albert Walsh for 52 years. Born in Middleboro, September 27, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Dean Jennings and Barbara (Shaw) Wood. Linda graduated from Memorial High School in 1965 and the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing in 1968. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors in 1985, ranking first among her classmates from Northern Arizona University. Linda spent forty years working as a RN in Massachusetts, Florida, Arizona, and Kentucky, primarily for the Veterans Administration Health Care System. In 2007 she was recognized as one of the top fifty nurses in Tucson. Linda and Peter were married in June 1969 and enjoyed raising their three children: Andrew P. Walsh of Tucson, AZ, Bryan P. Walsh of Melbourne, FL, and Danielle M. Walsh of Yachats, OR. Linda was a dedicated, inspiring and caring nurse and enjoyed shopping, holidays and spending vacations on Cape Cod with her family. She will be mourned and greatly missed by her husband, children, daughter-in-law, Kelly Graue Walsh, three granddaughters, Molly, Samantha, and Kirsten. She was the sister of the late Jon (Jennings) Wood, Lawrence Wood, and stepsister to Dennis M. Wood of Onset. Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, 4-7 p.m. on Monday, April 5th. A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Marion, Tuesday, April 6th at 11am. Masks must be worn and social distancing observed. There is a limit of 50 people in the funeral home at any one time. In lieu of flowers, Lindas family requests donations be made in her name to the Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, Massachusetts 02215, for reseach.
