So sorry to hear about Wes. I so enjoyed his wonderful smile at many road races.

I loved seeing Wes at road races. He always put a smile on my face. He loved running and he was always so friendly and approachable. He was a serious running volunteer too; a certain intersection in Hyannis will always be "Wes' corner" because he directed traffic there many times in the Johnny Kelley Half Marathon. It was my great privilege to work with Wes on the website for the race he directed so ably for so long (Strawberry Shortcake 10K). Big guy, I will miss you and never forget you.

My favorite post run memories will always be sharing a beer with Wes. He was more fun and kinder then anyone I ever knew. I feel very fortunate to have known and called him my friend. Wes will be missed, my heartfelt condolences to his family.
