Walter V. "Wally" Worth, 91, of Quincy, formerly of Braintree, entered into eternal rest Dec. 21, 2012, after a brief illness. He leaves his beloved wife of 70 years, Louise (Holton) Worth; and his three children, Carol Apgar of Scituate, Patricia McLaughlin of Peabody and Ronald Worth of Hudson. He also leaves five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, all of whom loved their "Ha Ha". He will be sorely missed. Wally was the son of the late John and Bertha (Shurtleff) Worth. His five siblings preceded him in death. Wally was a graduate of Braintree High School and a World War II veteran of the European Theatre. He was a sales engineer who had many varied talents and interests. A fine woodworker, he could build anything for anyone. His family has wonderful examples of his work to remember him by. After retiring, Wally was deeply involved in building and restoring antique radios, an interest since his childhood and clocks. He was a member of several antique radio and clock clubs and published articles in their magazines. A memorial service will be held for Wally at the River Bay Club, 99 Brackett St., Quincy, Thursday, Dec. 27, at 3 p.m. All are invited to attend and remember this extraordinary man. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that should you desire, memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity.
