Ashley Rodgers-Jordan Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS, VA-- Ashley Monique Rodgers-Jordan, 18, of 35 Riverland Drive, Apt.-F, Newport News, VA, died November 20, 2005 in Newport News, VA, following a sudden illness.A native of Bitburg, Germany, she was the daughter of Jaye and Sylvia Jordan of Germany, and Mack A. and Elaine Rodgers of Spartanburg. She was a 2005 graduate of General H. H. Arnold High School in Wiesbaden, Germany, and was a nursing student at Medical Careers Institute of Newport News, VA.In addition to her parents, survivors include one sister, Tia Nicole Jordan of Germany; two brothers, Marlon Beatty and Mack A. Rodgers, Jr. of Spartanburg; one step-sister, Tasha Smith of Spartanburg; one step-brother, Terrell Williford of Spartanburg; three aunts, Gloria M. Dawkins and Debra M. Hill of Spartanburg and Tina Dewberry of Conway; four uncles, Randy Lee Miller, James E. Miller, Alonzo Rodgers, and Samuel Rodgers, Jr., all of Spartanburg; maternal grandparents, Charles and Elizabeth Singleton of Spartanburg and Albert Miller of Wellford; maternal great-grandmother, Flossie Whiteside of Spartanburg; paternal grandparents, Samuel and Janie Rodgers of Roebuck, Ella Robinson of Spartanburg, and William and Queen Farrish of CharlotteFuneral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2005 at Macedonia Baptist Church, with Pastor Richard Peoples officiating. Interment will follow in Lincoln Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at the home of her maternal grandparents, Charles and Elizabeth Singleton, 102 Harmony Drive, Spartanburg.The Michael A. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Paid Funeral Notice
