R. Scott Dawson
CHESNEE, SC-- R. Scott Dawson, 49, died tragically in a plane crash on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Born in Asheville, NC and raised in Boiling Springs, SC, he was the son of Don and Sue Dawson.

In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his wife, Beth Murdoch Dawson; children, Chandler Scott Dawson (Anna), Chase Murdoch Dawson, and Chloe Elizabeth Dawson; his sisters, April Geerken (Eric), and Melissa Dawson; nephews, Austin Stribling, Gavin Murdoch, and Christian Marmo; nieces, Lauren Murdoch and Charlotte Marmo; special in-laws, Robert and Martha Murdoch, Brian and Melissa Murdoch, and Robbie Stribling; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Alan Keith Dawson.

Scott lived such a life that made such a difference in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing and meeting him. May Jehovah give you the strength beyond what's normal to cope with the loss of such a wonderful person. This is a loss to our spiritual family.

My sister, Jeanne, called me Tuesday and was very upset because she thought the son of very good friends may have died in a plane crash. Wednesday morning I got a message from her that her suspicion had been confirmed. Scott's father was the last person to see Jeanne's husband alive before he was killed almost 20 yrs ago. I wish I had the privilege of knowing Scott and his family who were and are such good friends with my sister and her family. But you are part of our worldwide family and so my heart goes out to you. May Jehovah comfort you and bless you.
