BOILING SPRINGS, SC-Robert 'Bob' Harold Gregory, 86, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born December 14, 1931, in Lockhart, SC, he was the son of the late Robert Norman and Louise Plexico Gregory.
A US Army Veteran, Mr. Gregory was retired from Willard Oil Company after 37 years of service as a dispatcher. He enjoyed snow skiing, gardening and loved his family and churning homemade ice cream. Mr. Gregory was a charter member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Burrell; son, Brian Gregory and daughter-in-law, Jamie of Moore, SC; grandsons, Connor and Owen; and sisters, Laura Carter (George) of Spartanburg, SC, and Frances Young (Jerry) of Greenwood, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife of 50 years, Mary Celestine Gregory; sisters, Cora Jenkins and Margaret Reardon and brothers, Ralph Gregory and Hugh Gregory.
Visitation will be 10:00-11:15 AM Monday, August 13, 2018, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following at 11:30 AM in the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Ross Chellis and the Rev. Mitch Crow. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Beginnings United Methodist Church, 210 Rainbow Lake Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
The family is at their respective homes.
