Bonnie Travis Ochs, 75, of Spencer County, died on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Signature HealthCare of Spencer County in Taylorsville. Born on Briar Ridge in Spencer County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Clara Whitaker Travis. A member of the First Baptist Church of Taylorsville, she attended the Women's Sunday School Class taught for many years by Hilda Snider. She was a former bookkeeper at Spencer County High School and a former receptionist at Valley View Nursing Home, now Signature HealthCare. Flower gardening was her favorite pastime.

Her survivors include her husband, Curtis Ochs, Jr., of Spencer County; daughters, Selina Gale Parrish and her husband, John, Jr., of Fern Creek, and Jean Luree Welch and her husband, Patrick, of Louisville; granddaughter, Jenna Louise Welch of Louisville; brothers, David Travis, H. Wayne Travis, and Jim Travis, all of Elk Creek; sisters, Yvonne Patterson of Elk Creek, and Anita Richter of Pewee Valley; several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville, with Reverend Mavis Bennett officiating. Interment will be in the Big Spring Cemetery in Nelson County.

Visitation was 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville, and expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the , 1640 Lyndon Farm Court, No. 104, Louisville, Kentucky 40223.
