Shirley Ann Stevens Rogers, 75, of Finchville, departed from her earthly life to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Born on Ashes Creek in Spencer County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lillie Pearl Nichelson Stevens.

Retiring from General Electric in Louisville after a career spanning thirty years, she then worked for several years as a certified nursing assistant. She attended the New Hope Church of Taylorsville, and her memberships include Taylorsville Chapter 366 of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. Spending time with her family and friends was her most enjoyable pastime, and she will always be remembered for her dedication to helping others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Janice Chesser, Barbara Hardin, Mildred Hardin; twin sisters, Rita Faye and Sandra Kay Stevens; and brother, Kenneth Stevens.

Her survivors include her husband, Everett Rogers of Finchville; children, Gail Rogers of Finchville, Gwen Cox and her husband, Ricky, also of Finchville, Roxanne Ruble and her husband, Keith, of Shelbyville, and Mickey Rogers and his wife, Kim, of Cox's Creek; sisters, Beulah Maddox of Taylorsville and Joyce Donovan and her husband, Danny, of Bloomfield; brother, William Stevens and his wife, Brenda, of Bardstown; grandsons, Mikie Blackburn of Elk Creek and Ethan Cox of Finchville; and special nephew, Birdie Blackburn and his wife, Vanessa, of Elk Creek.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 28, 2018, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville. Reverend Joe Vires officiated.
