Stanley Staves Obituary


STAVES, Stanley

Stan passed away March 16, 2011, quietly at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane after a long illness.
He was born in Missoula on Thanksgiving, November 25, 1941, and it was a family celebration welcoming him that year. He graduated from Missoula County High School with the Class of 1959 and worked for the Forest Service in Montana before moving to Spokane.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
His wife Marge preceded him in death in May 2010 as well as his brother Don and parents Roy Staves and Helen Staves Little.
Stan is survived by his daughter Janet Bray (John) and children of Gillette, Wyo., sons Shawn, Warren and Stan Jr. of Spokane; his sister Virginia Rae Staves Ruana (Ray) of Folsom, Calif., nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as many friends. He will be missed by them all.
