JOHNSON, Charles Dean (Age 66) Charles passed away on January 10, 2019 in Spokane, WA due to respiratory complications from a recent illness. Born December 1, 1952, to Dean and Ida May Johnson, he grew up and settled in the Latah area. He graduated from Liberty High School, Spangle, in 1971. After graduation he joined the Army Reserve and served six years. During that time, he enrolled in the Carpentry/Woodshop program at SCC. He was the Chairman of the Fire Commissioners for Latah and Waverly. He enjoyed working outdoors on his family's farm raising livestock, farming and logging. Charlie was a social person who loved spending time with friends and family. He leaves behind wife Peggy, mother Ida, sister Roberta, sons Michael and Mark as well as their wives Marisa, and Alyssa, 8 grandchildren, and stepdaughters Katy, Suzanne and Joanna. All are welcome to attend a celebration of his life on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Fairfield Community Center. Memorial contributions can be made to the North Palouse Community Food Bank or the Spokane County Fire District #12.
