Donald J.
(Age 64)

Entered into rest on May 11, 2011 in Spokane. He was born in Spokane on October 24, 1946, the son of Bob and Elizabeth (Domitrovich) Migliuri. Don grew up in the shadow of the spires of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius Grade School, Gonzaga Prep and Gonzaga University, where he was a member of the Zags Basketball team. He was in the tip-off of the first game played in the Kennedy Pavilion and remained a lifelong Zags fan and supporter, seen at nearly every home game. Don was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army and served his country in Southeast Asia, where he was in charge of a fuel and munitions supply depot. Upon leaving the Army, he earned his MBA at Boise State University, where he met his wife of 36 years. He also earned Certificates in both Public and Management Accounting. Don discovered the love of running as a member of G-Prep's cross country team. He went on to complete many road races and marathons. Don was a Bloomsday Perennial runner, earning all 35 t-shirts! He also enjoyed golfing, hiking, camping, cycling and bocci ball. He was dedicated to his family, doting on his children and grandchildren. Photos of Don alone are rare; he was nearly always covered by kids, dogs or both. Don is survived by his loving wife Karen (Bailey) Migliuri, of Spokane; children Melissa (Chris Nelson) Migliuri, of Spokane Valley, Patricia (Meghan Roos) Migliuri, of Buhl, ID, Meredith (Rob Ackaret) Migliuri, of Spokane and Benjamin Migliuri, of Spokane; grandchildren Grace and Evamarie Nelson, of Spokane Valley; his brother, Gary Migliuri and sister, Bette Migliuri, both of Spokane. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 17 from Noon to 7 p.m. with a Vigil Service beginning at 7 p.m., all at the funeral home.
