Eugene Ernest


Eugene passed away peacefully three years to the day as his beloved wife Linda. He is survived by his son John (Jocelyn) and daughter Sonja (Rob), his sister Patricia, and five grandchildren.

Born and raised in Spokane, Washington to Ernest and Ida Babcock, Gene is a graduate of Rogers High School and held a business degree from Gonzaga University. He worked 25+ years as an Assistant Store Manager for Safeway. Gene was an SP4 Corporal/ Specialist E4 in the Army and a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals for his dedication and bravery, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
