LOWER, Homer Earl
93 Years of Life

Formerly of Deer Park, Washington, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011 in Gresham, Oregon. He is the father of Roy Lower of Gresham, Oregon, and Duane Lower of Palo Cedro, California. Homer enjoyed six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Born in Grinnell, Iowa in 1917, he served as a Chief Motor Machinistmate in the United States Navy during World War II seeing combat action in the North African, European, and South Pacific Theatres. After his military service, Homer was a gang saw operator at lumber mills located in Cloverdale and Carlotta, California. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Funeral services honoring Mr. Lower will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Riverside Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, Chattaroy, Washington followed with interment and military honors by the United States Navy Honor Guard at the Peone Prairie Cemetery, Mead, Washington.
